Modern shampoos for clean and well-groomed hair

A quality shampoo gently washes the hair, does not damage it and helps to maintain a healthy and beautiful appearance, shine and volume for a long time. When choosing a shampoo, we pay attention to the features and needs of our hair.

To dissolve dirt

The main component of shampoo is the washing base. The ability to cleanse hair from fat and dirt particles is provided by tensides, or surfactants. Shampoos based on sodium laurilsulfate (SLS) are widely used. They produce abundant foam and cleanses dirt well, but it acts too aggressively, destroying the hydrolipid mantle of the skin along with unwanted fats. Therefore, constant use of those shampoos can cause irritation and flaking of the scalp.

Modern shampoo formulas often use softer surfactants - the so-called non-ionic surfactants, which are produced from coconut oil: cocoglucoside, lauryl glucoside, etc. They do not foam too much, but they do not damage the skin or disrupt its protective mechanisms.

To protect every hair

Immediately after washing, the keratin scales of the hair, deprived of the fat that envelops them, become hard, stick out, and the hair is easily electrified. To smooth the outer layer of the hair, give it shine and elasticity, synthetic silicones are often added to the composition of conventional shampoos - dimethicone, amodimethicone or dimethiconol. The silky effect created in this way creates a deceptive impression of healthy and strong hair. In fact, silicones are not completely washed off, and the surface of the hair remains sealed. Under the silicone shell, the protein structures of the hair degrade faster, the hair becomes weaker and gets dirty faster. In addition, silicones decompose slowly in wastewater, polluting the environment.

Hydrolyzed wheat proteins serve as a natural alternative to silicones in natural shampoos. Hydrolysis, that is, the chemical breakdown of large protein molecules, allows you to obtain small molecular fragments that are easily embedded in defective areas of the hair. The protective protein layer retains moisture, allows air to pass through, and provides the hair with physiological and comfortable protection from external influences. Hair becomes shiny and easier to comb, it not only looks healthy, but is also really strengthened. Often, high-quality natural shampoos contain natural oils to give hair softness and shine, for easy combing, preventing dryness and tangling. Most often, coconut, almond, argan, moringa and other oils are used for this.

Active agents with targeted action

The best shampoos include active substances, such as extracts of beneficial plants, essential oils, aloe gel, thermal water. They determine what type of hair the shampoo is suitable for and what problems it solves.

For oily hair: nettle extract, sage extract

For dry damaged hair: oat extract, broccoli oil, olive oil

For thin hair with a lack of volume: betaine

For dandruff prevention: tea tree oil

For hair growth: caffeine, coffee extract, camellia extract, ginger extract

For sensitive scalp: calendula extract, apple extract, algae extract, licorice extract

Choosing a baby shampoo

Regular shampoos are not suitable for little children. As a rule, the most gentle and soft components that do not irritate delicate baby skin are used in children's "no tears" formulas - almond oil, aloe gel, milk proteins, betaine, panthenol. To turn hair washing into a fun game, the design of children's shampoo packages is made bright and funny, and delicious fruit or flower aromas are added to the formulas.
