Ethyl salicylate

Is obtained from salicylic acid and food alcohol (ethanol). It has a pleasant, fresh and persistent smell, as well as anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties. It is used in cosmetics as a flavoring agent, preservative and anti-inflammatory agent.
